Why you need to make a plan for yoga and pregnancy

There is an option for anyone who wants to give birth while also having the time to do yoga and other postnatal activities. 

“It’s a great option for everyone,” said Bipin Sharma, a professor of obstetrics and gynaecology at the University of Toronto, adding that while yoga is an active and demanding activity for some, it’s an easy and safe option for the pregnant woman.

“It can be done as part of a healthy lifestyle, and if you don’t want to have any children, you can do it as part to a prenatal care plan, which is really helpful,” he said.

Sharma, who is pregnant with his second child, said the main difference between yoga and regular prenatal care is the lack of time.

You can do yoga in a day, he said, adding: “Prenatal care can be stressful, but I think it’s a really safe and convenient option.”

Prenatally-related activities are not as common in India as they are in Western countries, but the country still has a lot of work to do, Sharma said.

It’s time-consuming and can be challenging, but yoga and prenatal care are great for those who want to enjoy the benefits of yoga, but have to be physically active.

“There are so many activities you can go for.

You can do a yoga class or sit on the beach, or take a bike ride,” Sharma said, and he has seen many women choose to do both.

The yoga community in India is growing and there are more and more women taking the plunge, Sharma added.

In the country, there are about 30 million yoga practitioners.

Most of them are from the lower and middle classes, but some of them also have higher income and higher education levels.

Yoga is a very safe activity, but it can be dangerous, Sharma noted.
